The inaugral Badgers Vase Day was held on the 5th birthday of the Badgers - 10th May 2008.  Despite a low turn-out, six Badgers enjoyed two circuits of their 9-hole course on what was one of the hottest days so far of 2008 - so well done Steve Sharp, Mark Smith, Alec Vallintine, Nigel Smith, John Deely and Harry Cutts.  As the attendees agreed to make this a yearly fixture for the Committee members, there will be plenty of opportunities to make amends in the future.    

Inaugural winner was Steve Sharp who was presented with the Badgers Vase, a fine piece of glassware generously donated by Big Al, having himself won it at a recent Society Day (Anglo-American Golf Society please take note - we give out alcohol, not vases) on the basis of his wife not allowing it in the house.  This maintains the proud tradition of the Badgers Golf Society giving out trophys that nobody really wants to take home and show the misses.

Mind you, the amount of golf the fat boy plays, it's not really surprising.  Not that he likes to flaunt it...........much............
